What a sunny colourful beautiful day we just shared with Nadina and Lee at Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire. A lovely end to the Bank Holiday weekend.
I started the day with Dina and her 9, yes 9, bridesmaids and flowergirls getting ready in the Keeper’s Lodge in the castle grounds, while Vince was down the road with the boys.
Then the surprise – knowing Dina’s love of horses, Lee had secretly arranged for a stunning horse-drawn carriage to collect Dina & her dad and bring them round the gorgeous sweeping drive to the castle entrance. As photographers we love that sort of thing! (Don’t keep it a surprise from us though please, if you’re planning one!)
The weather was perfect, and the huge grounds of this place were perfect for some quiet moments with the bride and groom.

We had an amazing time with these two at their castle wedding on Saturday. The atmosphere was fantastic all day, both families made us feel completely welcome and we came away talking about what a wonderful day WE had had! Thank you both so much for the pleasure of being with you!

Highlights for me were the delicious pig roast, and the speeches. I ALWAYS get emotional in the speeches because I’m a bit of a baby like that, but when Giles’s brother was too overcome to go on with his speech and their Dad finished off for him it took me a moment to remember that I wasn’t just a guest and had to keep snapping! I was welling up!
