Hongy and Steve’s wedding photographs

Hongy and Steve could write a book on organising your wedding. Everything was meticulously planned and ran like clockwork. And yet it was also a gloriously relaxed and fun day.

Preparations took place on Anglesey, the wedding in Our Lady & St James Church in Bangor.

We then headed off to Brynrefail for their portraits with the Snowdonia Mountains as a backdrop.

The reception was held at Gypsy Wood Park, an enchanting family park with animals, miniature trains and fairies! The setting was lovely, a marquee next to the lake.

Hongy’s brothers and their friends provided the fantastic music for the night.

Photographs from Joanne & Steve’s Castell Coch Wedding

We took Joanne and Steven’s booking twelve months ago. Since then we’ve regularly driven past the beautiful gothic Victorian castle that is their venue with great excitement. What could be more romantic!?

Joanne looked absolutely stunning – and we were flummoxed the day before by her suggestion that she wasn’t photogenic.

After the ceremony the Castle allow you half an hour to take photos. Joanne and Steve were so relaxed it made our job very easy. And the castle rooms and courtyard have beautiful quality of light.

We normally suggest to couples that they spend a bit of time doing something a bit different on their day. We’ve taken over an ice cream van, gone crabbing and stolen sofas. So as Joanne and Steve’s reception was at a golf club we encouraged them to try their hand. They were naturals!

There were some great speeches, but in the end it was Joanne and Steve’s son’s impromptu contribution that brought the house down. And he just couldn’t stop once he had the crowd with him.
