We had a fantastic time with Llinos and David at Caerphilly Castle, even though it rained for most of the day! Probably our rainiest wedding yet, but they are such a relaxed laid-back couple and just took everything in their stride. Nobody got stressed about it and it was still a beautiful day in all the ways that matter.
We started with Llinos and her gorgeous bridesmaids at the house – the happiness was already evident.

Then it was on to Caerphilly Castle, where the ceremony took place in the Great Hall, a real fairy tale venue. The ceremony was beautiful and yes, you’ve guessed it, I got teary!!
It was far too wet to go outside afterwards but all the guests helped moved the chairs to the sides of the hall so we could have the floor space for group photos. Llinos and David had a quick quiet moment and glass of champagne in the foyer and got a spontaneous cheer from the guests who were lined up for the whole group shot by the time they came back in! The hall has fantastic full length arch windows that we also made good use of!
We did get a chance to go outside later in the afternoon with the bride and groom for some portraits. The chances of it actually raining for your entire wedding day are much slimmer than you might expect – yes, even in Wales!
We had an amazing time with these two at their castle wedding on Saturday. The atmosphere was fantastic all day, both families made us feel completely welcome and we came away talking about what a wonderful day WE had had! Thank you both so much for the pleasure of being with you!

Highlights for me were the delicious pig roast, and the speeches. I ALWAYS get emotional in the speeches because I’m a bit of a baby like that, but when Giles’s brother was too overcome to go on with his speech and their Dad finished off for him it took me a moment to remember that I wasn’t just a guest and had to keep snapping! I was welling up!
