Another wedding from before Christmas.

Catrin and Ian got married at the beginning of December at Gellifawr, one of our favourite local venues.

We got to photograph the girls’ preparations at Catrin’s family home just outside Newcastle Emlyn. They’ve got the most fantastic entrance hall!

Catrin and Ian got married at 4pm, by which time it was almost completely dark. So they agreed to see each other before the ceremony to have photos together. We were really lucky and got some fantastic sunset light!

Don’t you love how happy they both look here!

Catrin’s mum arranged for the Aberporth Male Voice Choir to entertain everyone during the reception. They were truly fantastic.

All the flowers for the day were done by our good friends Angie and Kim of Fleur de Paris in Newcastle Emlyn. If you’re in the area, check out their amazingly gorgeous shop in town.

We stayed for the dancing at this wedding, and got to be entertained by the famous Tommo!

It was truly a pleasure and privilege to be with Maggie and Stephen and their families (especially everyone who came all the way from the US) at their amazing, brilliantly organised day on Saturday.

They were blessed with gorgeous sunshine and Stephen had found the perfect location for their couple portraits after the ceremony – a fascinating stone circle overlooking Fishguard Harbour and out to sea. He’s our location scout from now on!

The reception was at Gellifawr Hotel, one of our very favourite venues around here, where you always get great service and a wonderful atmosphere. The room was filled with the stunning unusual flower arrangements Maggie had chosen and as it got darker the place glowed with candles and fairy lights.

I always get somewhat emotional during the speeches, but never more so than when Maggie’s sister spoke. I really related to her, and basically had a lump in my throat for the rest of the night! Thank you so much again for the privilege of meeting you all and getting to be with you on your special day. - Naomi
