Love in the Sun: Catrin and Rob at TyGlyn Mansion

Still doing some serious catch-up on blogging. But although you might think this super-sunny wedding day must have been way back in mid-summer it was actually October – the sun has certainly followed us around at our weddings through 2012!

332_CRWe completely fell in love with this uber-gorgeous couple – natural models both of them! Absolutely cannot WAIT for their Take Two session!!

This luscious camper van was on its very first wedding outing! Gorgeous van and lovely chap driving – check him out. πŸ™‚

183_CR At most chapel weddings, the local villagers wait outside the chapel to see the bride arrive and then file in to watch the ceremony from the balcony. In Catrin and Rob’s case there was no room for that – the chapel was so full of invited guests that a seating plan was necessary!

179_CR It also meant that I didn’t get my usual prime seats in the front corner and centre back of the balcony! I still managed to squeeze in for the kiss though, which I’m very chuffed to report turned out to be one of Catrin’s fave images of all. I love it too. πŸ™‚

211_CR Rob is a coach with Glamorgan and England cricket, so Catrin’s mum organised a surprise Guard of Honour with some local up-and-comers!

We stopped off in the lane leading to Catrin’s farm for their couple portraits. We love it when the chosen spot is somewhere so utterly personal – it’s nothing at all to anyone else, but your life embues it with so much emotion and meaning that you can’t help looking happy and gorgeous just walking around! I may have gone slightly overboard picking images here but there is just so much pretty!! The light was amazing – and Catrin’s performance experience made her such a natural in front of the camera (if you’re a Welsh-speaker you’ve probably recognised her from the TV :D).

Now then, this cake. Catrin gave this job entirely to her mum and aunt to take care of and never saw it beforehand. So it was a huge surprise to them both to find their entire lives sugarcrafted all over it by Catrin’s amazingly talented aunty (the lady in the background above). They spent ages finding more and more incredible details all over it.

Here’s another genius touch – keep the guests busy and chatting while everyone gets seated. Later there was a pop quiz on the couple by one of the ushers, as a warm-up act for the speeches!

545_CR While the room was turned around ready for dancing, the most mind-blowing magician I’ve ever seen kept everyone entertained. How do you slice a previously-signed tenner out of the middle of a fresh kiwi fruit that’s been sitting on the table the whole time? Answers on a postcard please.

560_CR And after all that, the party really got started. πŸ™‚ Seriously this couple thought of everything!
